Every Age

The same office sees your newborn and your grandmother. Here is what we do at each age, and when.

Baby

Newborn to 2

A newborn check in the first week home, then well baby visits on the schedule below. Each visit checks weight, length and head size against the growth chart, plus feeding and sleep. Shots happen at most of them.

Child

2 to 12

A well child visit once a year, ideally in the summer before school. We fill out school, camp and daycare forms at that visit at no extra charge. Vaccines follow the state school schedule. We also look after asthma, allergies and ADHD.

Teen

13 to 17

Sports physicals for $40, with the school's form filled out before you leave. A yearly checkup where part of the visit is the teen alone with the doctor, which is normal and something parents can ask about. HPV and meningitis vaccines.

Adult

18 to 64

An annual physical with lab work. Ongoing care for blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, thyroid and depression. Refills between visits, flu shots every fall, and women's health checkups.

65 and Up

65 and older

The Medicare wellness visit once a year. A review of every medicine you take, with the bottles on the table. Fall and memory checks. Shingles and pneumonia vaccines. A grandparent and grandchild can book back to back.
