Supplier Price Check is a small set of free tools for people who keep a business's prices in spreadsheets: independent retailers, small distributors, workshop owners, and the office managers who get a new supplier price list by email and have to work out what changed.

Who runs it

I am Min Park. I run Runway Pages, a small web business in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, and I built this checker because comparing two price lists by hand, with lookups in Excel, is slow and easy to get wrong. A leading zero disappears, a code appears twice, a pack size changes from 12 to 24, and the "increase" you see is not real.

Why it runs in your browser

A price list is commercially sensitive. So the checker does not upload your files anywhere. Your browser opens the files, compares them, and builds the report, and the site's security settings block the page from sending data to any other server. The privacy page lists the little the site does record: a count of page views and comparisons, with no file names or prices.

How the numbers are checked

The comparison code has an automated test suite covering reordered rows, duplicate codes, leading zeros, blank and negative prices, comma and dot decimals, currency and pack changes, rounding, and hostile spreadsheet cells. The rules are written out on the how it works page so you can check any result yourself. Every report carries the calculation version it was made with.

What it costs

Nothing during the beta. If paid plans are added later for features such as saved supplier setups across devices, the free comparison will stay free and the prices will be shown before anything is charged.

Report a problem

If the checker reads a file wrongly, or a number looks off, email min@runwaypages.com. Describe the layout of the file, for example "SKU in column B, prices with a comma decimal", rather than sending the price list itself. I read every report and fix confirmed problems.
